Many other stars have been landing in Utah via commercial liners. Kristen Stewart however has now earned the right to fly private. Well done. Here’s a girl who has street cred and commercial cred and is now at the top of the wish list for many directors not only for big budget projects but also for small esoteric pieces. That’s quite a distinction among her peers. Last year, Kristen Stewart traveled to the 2009 Sundance with her father via a commercial liner. Duo in talks to star with Witherspoon

Robert Pattinson and Sean Penn are circling Fox 2000's Depression-era drama "Water for Elephants."

Reese Witherspoon has already boarded to the film, which will be directed by Francis Lawrence. Scribe Richard LaGravenese is adapting for the bigscreen.

Based on Sara Gruen's best-selling historical tome of the same name, story centers on a Cornell U. veterinary student who leaves his studies after his parents are killed and joins up with the Benzini Brothers Most Spectacular Show on Earth, working as a vet for the circus. Witherspoon will play Marlena, the beautiful equestrian star married to August (Penn), the charismatic but twisted animal trainer.

Studio, which is eyeing a June start date, wouldn't confirm details of the project. Gil Netter, Erwin Stoff and Andrew Tennenbaum are producing.

"Twilight" star Pattinson has been on every studio's wish list. His deal is expected to close. Penn, who is in Haiti on a humanitarian mission, is the bigger question mark. He has an offer from the studio but is still mulling the role.

The Summer House with Robert Pattinson

The Summer House was screened at the British Society of Cinematographers New Cinematographers Night in November of 2009.

The BSC updated with their program for that night, including The Summer House, listing it as 14 minutes long.

Filmed in France, this is the first venture by Miss Gili to produce write and direct her own short film. Although she is joint principle of the non government funded London Film Academy, her short was made totally independent of the LFA. The result is a warm, dreamy piece, which captures the lazy summer afternoons and cool evenings at the French villa, for a gathering of family members. I suppose the temptation may have been there to pace it up a bit, but she held to the story which gently unfolded. Nicely photographed by Alex Ryle.
