A Twilight-related cable TV documentary on Forks is in the works.

A film crew from the Showtime cable network is scheduled to shoot in Forks from Friday, Dec. 11 through Monday, Dec.14, according to the Forks Chamber of Commerce.

Showtime is set to air the first TV broadcast of the film “Twilight” on Jan. 23, with on-demand viewing starting Jan. 15 and the Forks-set footage is to accompany the small screen showing.

“They want to add authenticity by doing some filming of Forks, the real Forks, to include real Forks folks and real Forks scenery,” an announcement in the chamber’s December newsletter states.

Showtime is in a deal with Summit Entertainment, the producers of the Twilight Saga films, to air all four films slated in the series following their theatrical and DVD releases.

Five airings of the PG-13 film Twilight are scheduled by Showtime from Jan. 23 through Jan. 25. On-demand access runs through the end of April.
